Sunday Quote

This is from one of my favorite kid movies-Flubber. Robin Williams did a great job playing an absent-minded professor. Weebo is his hovering A.I. friend that the professor had built.
"Wish I understood human beings. Wish I understood women. Wish I understood emotions and passions. Wish I understood any of that. If I did, I wouldn't have had to spend my entire life in a laboratory trying to figure out how the world works. I would've been out in the world trying to figure out why it works. I know I love her Weebo. Every neuron in my limbic system is saturated with phenylethylemine. That triggers euphoria, elation, exhileration. Truth is, Weebo, I'm not absent- minded because I'm selfish, crazy or inconsiderate. I'm absent-minded because I'm in love with Sara."

After Breaking Dawn

In case you haven't read the Twilight series you should stop reading now.
However if you have read all 4 books keep reading, this is from Stephenie Meyer:
‘Twas the night before Christmas in the house of Cullen,All were quite busy, no one was sullen.Emmet downed a pine with just one blow,Which Alice had decorated so grand, don’t you know!Only one stocking was hung up tonight,For a child named Renesmee, who squealed with delight! For this celebration was made for one cause; The arrival of none other than Santa Claus.
Back at the cottage, with paper and bows, Bella wrapped presents for Nessie…with Rose.Delighted, that now, they were sisters, so dear; It’s amazing what happened in just one short year.Charlie and Sue, engaged, now, to marry,Were also quite busy, no time to tarry.Charlie cursed quietly under his breath. They still couldn’t leave. Where were Leah and Seth? When, finally, Sue’s two kids did arrive,With the car fully loaded, they pulled out of the drive. It seemed kind of silly to leave break of dawn,But he wouldn’t argue, no, not Charlie Swan.
Carlisle and Esme were cooking up stuff,But with werewolves coming, would there be quite enough!Folks soon would arrive, but one thing to do first;Go on a hunt to make sure there’s no thirst.Alice could see that they still had one hour,Which was plenty of time for some deer to devour.
Edward drove up with wrapped presents galore,Brought some in the house, then went back for more.“This time,” he thought, “she’ll accept what I give…She’s my Bella, my wife, for as long as we live.”On the back porch, Nessie did what she oughta,For the reindeer, she put a big bowl of water.Next to the tree, on a cloth made of silk,For Santa, some cookies and a tall glass of milk.
Candles were lit and the tables were setFor a Christmas morning none would forget. The music was playing. There were lights on the trees. The house would be found with the greatest of ease. The guests were arriving. All Cullens were thereTo greet their new friends and wish holiday cheer.People were laughing and eating the food.Even Leah was in a good mood.If one looked at Jasper, they’d see a broad smile; He’d keep Leah happy, at least for awhile!
Only one person seemed very sad.Renesmee said, “Mama, I must have been bad.Santa should be here, but where is his sled?Has he gone to see other children instead?”“Hey, Renesmee,” said Emmet, “what’s all that noise?Could that be Santa Claus, bringing you toys?”Nessie ran to the window. All talking did pause. For there in the yard was dear old Santa Claus.Instead of reindeer, eight wolves pulled the sled.By a ninth wolf, in front, the others were led.“It’s Rudolph, Mama!” and Bella smiled back. For the wolf, with the red nose, was Jacob Black. With tears in her eyes, she thought, “Oh, that boy! He’d do just about anything to bring Nessie joy.”Suddenly, Santa was gone…that was weird. He was now in the house with red suit and beard. His eyes, how they twinkled. He carried a sack.If you looked very closely, you’d see Billy Black. Then Paul and Embry and others were there.Soon, Quil arrived, carrying Clare.
It was a time full of happiness…no one was sad.A celebration that good triumphed bad.A time to put old issues to rest,As each saw the other for their very best. Then, Carlisle and Billy looked very mysterious.“We have something to say, and it’s really quite serious.Loyalty proven…It wasn’t an act.And the time is right for a brand new pact.Quileutes and Cullens exist hand in hand,Free to walk on the other’s land.If ever we’re threatened, with death, by others,We’ll all stand together…sisters and brothers.”
With emotion filled comments and tears in some eyes,People were hugging and saying goodbyes.Cars, loaded with gifts, food, and holiday cheer,All promised to be on hand next year.“Renesmee is snoring, so we’d better go;But Carlisle and Esme, I want you to knowI love you so much.” Bella said, so sincere.“Before we go, let me make this quite clear. The decision to change was mine from the start,No need for another…your son IS my heart.”
Hands clasped together, Bella and EdCarried Nessie home, and put her to bed“She’s perfect,” he said, “but then, so are you.Who would have guessed, after all I’ve been through,That I would have love and a life filled with bliss.”Then he hugged her and gave her the most tender kiss.Of course, there was more…’twas a night full of passion. But, I’ll tell you the rest in Stephenie fashion. The love that they shared was honest and true.Having said that, MERRY CHRISTMAS to you!

Sorry I wasn't able to get this out yesterday but it was busy. I'm sorry to report that it may be awhile till I finish the "Night Before Christmas", I started it Christmas Eve evening from the top of my head so be patient. :) I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, I definately had fun hearing Chris being surprised about a certian gift I gave. Thank you Gma's and Gpa's aunts and uncles, mothers and fathers and siblings for everything. LOVES and HUGS!!!!!

Guys

I saw this article on Yahoo! and I have to agree with some of them:
Guys, we love you, we really do. But as wonderful as you are, every so often you do something that makes us want to jump out the nearest window (or push you out first). Please, please, don’t ever…
1. Offer to “babysit” your own kids. When your 16-year-old neighbor does it, it’s called babysitting. When a parent does it, it’s called child care, and it lasts for at least 18 years. Get it?
2. Imply that office work is harder than housework. At the end of a hard day, there may be smoke coming out of your ears, but let’s face it: You’ve basically been sitting on your butt. That same smoke is coming out of our ears too—but we’ve cleaned the house, shuttled the kids around, run errands all over town and lugged grocery bags besides. When we say we’re exhausted, we are exhausted.
3. Give a home appliance as a gift. Forgive us if we can’t work it up for this one. A new washing machine? Really? Can we get you some new snow tires?
4. Buy us the “cougar” perfume. Under our crew-neck sweaters may beat the heart of an untamed vixen—but most of us don’t want to smell like one. (Nice try, though.)
5. Brag about your driving. This is supposed to let us know that ours isn’t so great. If my husband tells me one more time that he’s been “accident-free since 1978,” I’m going to reach over, grab the wheel and make the car swerve into something, just to shut him up.
6. Be unimpressed by a meal that took a lot of time and trouble. I don’t know whose fault this is (Food Network? Julie and Julia?), but every so often we get the idea that it would be fun to make stock and spend the day basting. If the result is less than earth-shattering, say something nice anyway.
7. Buy clothes without trying them on. We know that the second you get into a department store you start to feel faint, but do us a favor and take the extra five minutes. Otherwise, you know who gets stuck with the returns?
8. Know it all, especially in public. Oh, honey. While you’re going on at length about whatever it is, we’re taking the temperature of the room, and we know everyone’s starting to fidget.
9. Say anything remotely critical about our new haircut. Sometimes getting a new cut goes well; sometimes it doesn’t. Usually we know the difference. Don’t rub it in.
10. Expect a medal for doing a little housework. Umm…it’s your house too, right? For now, we’ll give you the bronze. Maybe someday, if you work hard enough, you can pick up a gold.

Night Before Christmas

T'was the night before Christmas, when all thro' the house,
Only the crickets were chirping, instead of a mouse;
The stockings were hung on a bookshelf with care,
In hopes of candy to fill them instead of cold air.
The children were nestled all warm in their beds,
Visions of messing the house danc'd in their heads;
Mama faintly snored in her own annoying way,
While I hid my head to keep them at bay.
When out in the street arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what's the matter;
Away to the door I flew like a lance,
Grabbing my gun and a pair of jean pants.
Then what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a big chevrolet and a long horned steer,
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
All I could think was this better be St. Nick.
More clumsy than a vulture his bull it came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and call'd it many a name;
"C'mon you beef patty! Steak! You big slab of meat!
I'll get some reindeer and have you for a feast!"
So up to the house-top the courser it flew
With a chevy of gifts- and St. Nicolas too.
That's all I had parodied so far. I wish I had thought of doing this a week before instead of last night but I hope you enjoy what I have typed. :)
Merry Christmas!!!!

Busily Loud Day

I don't have a picture to describe how busy yesterday was, however I will describe it.
Monday the 21st of December, Christopher woke me around 7:30am to give a kiss and say good-bye for the day. After he left I got up to workout (which I haven't done in weeks) then took a shower and got ready for the day. I got the kids up, changed, fed, and clothed then off we were to Gma Lynne's (my mother) house to help her out. She had brought my two nephews over from San Diego to help my sister-in-law, who is pregnant and basically planning to move out here...again, while my brother is on deployment in the Navy.
We get out there and the kids were excited to see each other and were ready to play. They watched a movie and my eldest sister comes to the house with her two kids. So far 6 kids altogether. They ate lunch and then it was time for the littlest ones to take naps. Only one took an actual nap. Another walked right out of the room while my little Ellie just kept yelling. *Sigh* oh well. Then my sister-in-law's sister came over with her two kids. 8 kids. Wow. I can't tell you how many times I had to yell in order to get some of these kids to quiet their own voices enough to think LOL but it was nice to see my kids having other kids to play with, other than themselves. A little later the sisters left leaving my kids and my sister-in-law's with my momand I. I got a call from my husband saying that he'd be home late (tis the season) and we stayed till 7:30pm eating dinner with my mother, father and aunt. By the time I'd gotten home, changed the kids, brushed their teeth, and put them to bed, my eyes were on the verge of shutting down for sleep. But I took a long hot bath and read, then ate a pomegranite till Chris came home around 9:30 or 9:45pm. I'm taking today off but we'll probably go over again tomorrow, making sure my mother hasn't pulled out her hair. Hee hee hee just kidding Mom and Liz. My kids need more interaction so I'll take some advantage. :) LOVES!!!

Sunday Quote

Today's quote is from an old family comedic film called The Stooge. My mother grew up watching this movie and has let us grow up with this classic as well. One of my many favorite quotes in this movie:
"Hit where there's padding, hit where there's padding."
by Jerry Lewis
If you haven't seen this movie, look it up and see it. If you have seen this movie and it's been awhile- duh see it again!! :)

If you liked the video below I have a few songs from the orchestra that I liked as well as the Wizards In Winter. Just go all the way down to the bottom of this site to the playlist and the orchestra's songs are the last few songs on the list. My playlist is set to shuffle so you may have heard them, but if not you can always click on the song you want to hear.

Happiest States

I have my homepage set to Yahoo! for some of the most random things to read. Some stuff is very informal. Others are just fun to read. 1. Louisiana
2. Hawaii
3. Florida
4. Tennessee
5. Arizona
6. Mississippi
7. Montana
8. South Carolina
9. Alabama
10. Maine
11. Alaska
12. North Carolina

Cute Stuff!

Sorry she's blurry but she kept hiding from the orange light that blinked before the flash.

I couldn't help but share these. Especially when I couldn't wake Christian up. I took this picture AFTER I had kissed him, hugged him, talked to him...he didn't move.

Sunday Quote

I totally forgot about a Sunday quote! My bad!
Sunday's quote was from an unpopular movie. It's rated R but the story has an interesting equation to the end of humanity, it's The Happening. However gloom this movie may give there's a funny line I wanted to give you. Mark Walberg is the husband to a distraught woman who had gone to dinner with a man alone. She isn't interested in the guy but he kept calling her. She told her husband (Walberg) about the dinner before they get hurt. The husband later tells her this story to make her feel better-
"If we're gonna die, I want you to know something. I was in a pharmacy a while ago. There was a really good-looking pharmacist behind the counter. Really good-looking. I went up and asked where the cough syrup was. I didn't even have a cough, and I almost bought it. I'm talking about a completely superfluous bottle of cough syrup. That's, like, six bucks."
He was joking but I thought it was cute.

2 Funny Stories

So I have 2 funny stories to tell. The first is more ironic than funny but still.
First Story
So as you may have read about the Workout Oopsy from yesterday. Murphy's Law seemed to have worked in my favor. You see, after I typed out that blog about my hurting leg I fearfully straightened my leg while I walked. Lo and behold, no pain. LOL! Although when I kneel down the knee feels a bit swollen but I'm excited that I will be able to workout. Yippee!
Second Story
Christian came up to me and said many times, "Car has owey, Mommy," while holding up one of Chris's Nascar model cars with one of the windows that looked broken. I lean over to Christian and said, "Yes, the car does have an owey. Do you know how it got the owey, Christian?" I'm fairly sure this is what he said, "I did it." I looked his sad expression and said, "Yes honey, you did it, but it was a long while ago. It's okay," and he walked away. I'm not fully sure that he got the concept, but it was cool to hear him say "I" instead of "Christian" or saying someone else had done it.
I told Chris the story and he looked at the car and he said there wasn't anything wrong with the car, that the window was suppose to look like like that. (The window is partially "rolled down", it looked broken, especially with the way Christian plays with his cars). Chris held up a similar looking Nascar model with the window the same. But Chris shook the "owey" car and there was rattling in it. The car window may not be broken but there might be something broken inside or Christian put something inside to make it rattle.

25 Days of Christmas

On the 11th day of Christmas my
true love gave to me....
11 boned ribs in the slow cooker,
10 toes a poppin',
a 9 second hug,
8 hard boiled eggs?
7 freshly washed denims,
a 6 minute massage,
5 HOURS TO MYSELF!!!!
4 morning smooches,

Workout Oopsy

You know the saying, "If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans?"
I don't recall saying this aloud but I guess my inner thoughts were screaming up to heaven cuz I am now unable to do any working out for maybe a week or so.
Since Chris and I had a couple of days off almost every week for this last month, I decided I should get my butt in gear and work out everyday that's assigned. Tuesday, I must have worked out a little too much. At night my back started to hurt when I breathed, I asked Chris for a massage thinking I'll be fine by morning. Yesterday, my back felt fine but a pulling ache in the back of my left knee had started. I did a short workout that concentrated mostly on abs. There was some cardio leg work at the beginning to give a warm up. Either that was too much or I did too much during that part of the workout because now if I straighten my left leg while standing a shot of pain run through my veins like someone kicked the back of my knee. Fun stuff. Funny thing is that I can straighten it while I'm laying down. No problem. Grrr so frustrating!!!
So I guess I will be walking limply and won't be working out for a bit. *Tear*

25 Days of Christmas

On the 10th day of Christmas my
true love gave to me....
10 toes a poppin',
a 9 second hug,

Heywood Banks
My Name is Christmas Carol
Muppet Christmas Carol
& Bing Crosby
I hope I can add more but we'll see. Enjoy!

25 Days of Christmas

On the 9th day of Christmas my true love gave to me....

&
a text saying that {I love you}.

So Awesome

We had bought the movie Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince this evening and during dinner we put the movie in to watch. In the "previews" of the movie they advertised a few games and Harry Potter in Universal studios and so forth.
I got so excited to see that they were making Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 and exclaimed, "Aahh! They're making a Lego Harry Potter! I was wondering what they'd do next for Legos! That is so awesome!!"
Christian was watching me and put his hands together and repeated, adoringly, "So awesome." And he fake chuckled a little.
Oh Christian, you can be the most ADORABLE little boy! I love you so!

Sunday Quote

Today's quote comes from my friend Sassy aka Jessica Millett-Smith.
She is one of my best friends and sometimes she comes up with the funniest phrases. Sometimes I think most of the phrases she comes up with are by accident. LOL I use this quote sometimes and it's fun! :-D
"You let me and you like it!"
Perfect phrase for a child wouldn't you say?

Sunday Quote

Today's quote comes from a wonderfully done movie, and I believe it's the 1st 3D movie Disney has done.
UP
If you haven't seen this movie, you are SOOOOO missing out some cute, funny stuff. One of my favorite parts of this movie is when we first meet Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. Beta and Gamma's voices are manly and somewhat deep. Alpha's voice, however, has a loose wire making it sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks. My favorite line:
"Beta! Gamma! Mayhaps you desire to-SQUIRREL!!!!..."
It continues but that's one of the best lines.
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!

200th Post & 36 Day Fit Test

Yes, this is my 200th post on our blog! Not that it really matters but I thought I'd share a fun tid-bit.
So today was our Fit Test (Day 36)! Although Chris had the week off last week and we missed about 3 days of workouts for who-remembers-the-reasons.

Day 1, Day 15, Day 36
Chris 1. 50-60-64, 2. 38-44-53, 3. 63-79-90, 4. 35-40-46
Jess 1. 30-32-35, 2. 22-30-35, 3. 45-54-78, 4. 8-20-25
Chris 1. 9-11-12 2. 14-19-22 3. 23-30-35 4. 37-44-44
Jess 1. 7-8-8 2. 6-10-7 3. 3-12-15 4. 21-30-23
By the end of this workout both Chris and I were shaking like dried leaves in a winter breeze.
Chris lost 2 in around the chest, 1 1/2 in. around the waist, and 1 in around the behind.
Jess lost 1/4 in. around the chest, 3 1/4 in. around the waist, and 1 in. around the behind.
Hoping that our measurements are correct.

Behold, my blogging followers! I relay that Chris Heimerdinger, one of my favorite authors, has declared another book will be done after Vol. 11. Here is the link-

Sunday Quote

Sorry the Sunday quote is late. I had forgotten to put it up. LOL
So in honor of the movie coming to theatres this week I figured itd be appropriate to have a quote from New Moon.
This movie was very emotional and somewhat action packed. However there is some good comedy relief, this being one of them-
"What a marshmellow. You should hold out for someone with a stronger stomach. Someone who laughs at the gore that makes weaker men vomit."

Pictures

I've made it a point to take family pictures once a year. Chris and I may not change much, or rather Chris may not change much since he doesn't get pregnant at all. LOL Anyway, today we took family pictures at Walmart again dressing in red, white, and black. I know Liz will be happy with the red. ;) LOL
I will post them as soon as I get them, and I think that will be December 3rd!
PS-I looked rather good for staying up till almost 4am and waking up at 9:30am. LOL

Midnite Showing

Last night was the opening night for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, as some of you knew. I went with two of my girl friends. Last night as I drove to the theatre over near us on Signal Butte and Baseline, I received a few messages from family which I thought was cool. Thank you! When I pulled into the parking lot, my friends had been there a minute before and we walked together into the Gateway Imax, straight into theatre 12. We didn't have to wait at all!!! SO AWESOME!!! I had brought our portable dvd player and Twilight, the first movie and we watched that while we waited from 9:30-11pm after the movie we made a run for the bathroom then talked till New Moon started. I can't tell you how many times we saw their Sprint advertisement saying to turn off our phones before the previews started. LOL
Anyway, my general rating on New Moon is.....drum roll......
IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so glad I went needless to say. 3 times better than Twilight. There's more action, more emotion, and moreover better! I can't wait to see it again and I can't wait to own it on DVD!!!

Sunday Quote

I went shopping yesterday and I got some Whey Protein for Christopher, since we're working out, among other groceries. I get home and Chris is looking at it and I said:
"I didn't know what flavor you wanted. They had flavors of strawberry and vanilla, so I got you chocolate."
Yes, today's quote is by me, cuz after I said it Chris gave me a confused look, and I resaid the statement the right way with gigglescoming out of both of our mouths- "They had flavors of strawberry, vanilla AND chocolate, so I got you chocolate." After that we decided that would be today's quote.
*Bowing awkwardly* Thank you, thank you. I hope you enjoyed it.

5th Of November

I know most do not see rated R movies, and for good reasons, however this quote and this video I share are part of one of my most-liked movies.
"Remember, remember the 5th of November, the gunpowder, treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot."- V for Vendetta

The person who plays V is Hugo Weaving, also a favorite actor of mine. Hugo is also in The Matrix, and Lord of the Ring.

Sunday Quote

Some songs by this band have been a little bit over my taste, but overall I love what they sing. If you have watched Transformers and Transformer: Revenge of the Fallen you have heard at least a bit of their songs.
"I'm strong on the surface, not all the way through. I've never been perfect but neither have you."
- Leave Out All the Rest, song by Linkin Park
A friend once told me that at a concert, this band said there couldn't be any mosh(forgive my spelling) pits, or they'll stop playing. When a mosh pit started to form at the stage they stopped playing. I liked this band a lot more since then.

Sunday Quote

This quote is from Ant Bully.
This movie is actually pretty good. It's not as good as some CG movies but good enough for kids.
Anyway, the main character, Lucas is shrunk, and taken by the ants in his front yard and there's a part were he feels ill. One of the ants gives him something to feel better and Lucas belches. The burp echoes throughout the ant tunnels up to the ant hill above ground, where an ant guard or soldier says:
"Praise the Mother!"
Trust me if you've seen this movie or if you see it this will at least make you giggle. I personally thought it was hilarious, still do. :)
PS: Please check out the video below of the Free Photo Booth, its REALLY FUNNY!!! It definitely got Chris to laugh, and well, those who know Chris you know it takes some skill to make him laugh. ;)

NEW MOON!!!

Close Call

After "naptime" and before our playdate at our house, I grabbed the kids from their rooms, thinking it's fairly warm in here (I usually have their fans going). I try to turn on the lights in both kids' rooms and nothing happened. Strange right? I decided I'd call Chris or my Dad to help me figure out the words in the electric box later. After the playdate, I put Ellie back to bed cuz she was being a snot and Christian watched Kung Fu Panda I called Chris then my Dad, getting the rooms back on.
That night around 10pm Chris was putting Christian to bed (don't ask why so late), and Christian pointed to the electrical socket and said, "Money."
Chris tried to pull out the nite-light and it sparked, tripping the wires to both rooms again. Apparently Christian put a nickel into the socket, almost causing a fire. I can't tell you how many times I've said don't give him money. Anyway, Christian has obviously not learned from his 1st encounter with putting metal things into the sockets. *Sigh*

This was actually much blacker but Chris wiped some of it away before I got the camera.
Sorry about the fuzzy pic. This is the nite-light. Caused quite a spark!
Here is the nickel he messed up.
And the nite-light again.
I constantly thank the Lord that it didn't start a fire! I hope this doesn't happen anymore, nor to anyone!

INSANITY!!! 2

Okay dear worried ones, I did the fit test again and officially wrote down my results. I won't put the results down until 14 days later so we can compare the results.
Chris and I got up around 6:45am to workout, it was slow going getting up this morning. Ironically Chris didn't want to get up, but I did. LOL I sure it will be different tomorrow. Anyway, I drank only water before the workout (last time I had juice, bad idea), I was able to do at least 4 reps of the 8 moves for 1 minute and I didn't get sick, I felt a little nausea but not like last time. Last time I only did 3 moves and threw up. I think I paced myself well today, and I hope I show improvement the next time around.

Sunday Quote

Today's quote is quite long but this is my favorite lyrics from the song In My Arms by Plumb (I believe its a Christian group). You can also hear this song on the playlist below under all the posts.
"My heart is torn, just in knowing, you'll someday see the truth in lies. When the clouds will rage and, storms will race in, but you will be safe in my arms. Rains will pour down, waves will crash around, but you will be safe in my arms. Castles they might crumble dreams may not come true, but you are never all alone cuz I will always, always love you."
I like this because this song seems almost like a lullaby, and I always think of my kids and future kids when I hear this. Hope you like!
