Busily Loud Day

I don't have a picture to describe how busy yesterday was, however I will describe it.
Monday the 21st of December, Christopher woke me around 7:30am to give a kiss and say good-bye for the day. After he left I got up to workout (which I haven't done in weeks) then took a shower and got ready for the day. I got the kids up, changed, fed, and clothed then off we were to Gma Lynne's (my mother) house to help her out. She had brought my two nephews over from San Diego to help my sister-in-law, who is pregnant and basically planning to move out here...again, while my brother is on deployment in the Navy.
We get out there and the kids were excited to see each other and were ready to play. They watched a movie and my eldest sister comes to the house with her two kids. So far 6 kids altogether. They ate lunch and then it was time for the littlest ones to take naps. Only one took an actual nap. Another walked right out of the room while my little Ellie just kept yelling. *Sigh* oh well. Then my sister-in-law's sister came over with her two kids. 8 kids. Wow. I can't tell you how many times I had to yell in order to get some of these kids to quiet their own voices enough to think LOL but it was nice to see my kids having other kids to play with, other than themselves. A little later the sisters left leaving my kids and my sister-in-law's with my momand I. I got a call from my husband saying that he'd be home late (tis the season) and we stayed till 7:30pm eating dinner with my mother, father and aunt. By the time I'd gotten home, changed the kids, brushed their teeth, and put them to bed, my eyes were on the verge of shutting down for sleep. But I took a long hot bath and read, then ate a pomegranite till Chris came home around 9:30 or 9:45pm. I'm taking today off but we'll probably go over again tomorrow, making sure my mother hasn't pulled out her hair. Hee hee hee just kidding Mom and Liz. My kids need more interaction so I'll take some advantage. :) LOVES!!!

I am soooo glad that you were there to make sure that the kiddos got to play together...I am so excited to make sure that my kids get to know their cousins and have the opportunity to really get to play with them.

So fun that they play together!!!!!

I agree, it was a busy day, but in a way easier for me since I didn't have to entertain kids by myself. It may have been louder and way more chaotic, but I think the kids had a lot more fun.

I, too, took the next day off ... spending it cooking and baking in the kitchen.
