Work Worn

I don't know about you but sometimes I don't realize how hard a UPS driver works.

You see them drive around with open or closed driver doors in brown trucks stopping in places to drop off or pick up packages. But do you realize that they drive in a poorly cooled truck for 8-12 hours, lifting those variously weighted packages ranging from a padded envelope to a hundred pounds (give or take), dealing with people (in, out, of cars and homes) and sometimes their pets, wearing out their shoes within months?

This picture shows the same type of shoe. He bought two of the same type of shoes around six months ago. On the Left is how they look after just months of driving and delivering. On the right is a shoe he hasn't yet worn to work. It just amazes me how much of the bottom of the shoe has worn off.
