Baby Girl #2
Okay 1st we got the carseat to go with the stroller. YAY!
And yesterday I got two inexpensive butterfly blankets cuz when I saw them I thought of how our little girl, Tehya, would match them.
Now you're probably wondering where did Tehya come from. Well here ya go...
We looked up more names, including Chris, crossed out a few names, found a couple names and came up with this list of names:
Alyssa (Germanic): Noble kind
Janae (English): N/A
Ruanna: N/A
Tehya (Native American): Precious
Willow (English): Willow tree
Yuri (Russian): Earth worker
To have a bit of fun and to kinda hurry things along I put all the names including Beth and Fae, even added some random words like Goober, Butterfly and Monster as fillers in a roomy hat. Chris pulled out Tehya first (for a first name) and pulled out Janae second (for a middle name). The name flowed well off the tongue and very pretty but it didn't feel quite right. So during the quiet times of days I would think of the meaning of names and came across Bethia meaning Daughter of God. I tried it on my tongue Tehya Bethia and it sounded like the movie title ' Bridge to Terabithia' staring Josh Hutcherson and AnnaSophia Robb and just sounded wrong. But it got me thinking of the only grandmother I knew, Beth, and found it complimenting. I brought it to Chris's attention and we both feel we're done looking for our little girl's name.
Tehya (tay-yah) Beth: 'Precious' 'Daughter of God'
Tehya has been kicking me often and I thank Heavenly Father daily to be able to feel her movement. I had to go in for another ultrasound via doctor's orders because last time they didn't see her profile and I think to check the amniotic fluid level. Unfortunately Tehya was a little stinker and was hiding her face against the uterine wall toward my spine and again couldn't get a good shot of her profile. But hopefully they got the amniotic level checked and all is well. And for giggles sake, since I was there and the lady was accommodating she re-confirmed Tehya was a girl. *Snicker* I have more pictures but they're pretty much what you've seen already. Unless you really want to see them I won't put'em up.
Christian and Nayeli
They have both started a karate class last Friday and continues each Friday for 14 weeks. They both earned 2 ribbons at the first class for answering questions, doing well with their punching/kicking skills or waiting patiently to bow goodbye to their teacher. They like the class though while I watched them during class I kept whispering under my breath to pay attention more. But with other kids not paying attention around them and being distracting I can't blame them too much. Unfortunately I was unable to get any pictures taken cuz I had to run home after their class started to get our checkbook cuz I forgot it was cash or check only, and when I ran back I forgot the camera and my phone in the car. Am I pregnant or what? Hopefully I'll have another chance this Friday, though they may not allow it since doing so can be distracting for children.
Chris and I
Chris and I have been working as hard as our increasingly tired bodies will let us to get this house cleaned, organized, and settled for ourselves as well as Tehya. But I must admit its been quite a task. We have been living in this current house for almost 4 years and it shows that we have become too complacent and comfortable in our house of 4 family members. You never know how much you want to get done around the house until a baby comes into view. Chris and my Dad have finally been able to tackle our master bathroom. Yes I do mean to say we've not used the shower or tub these almost 4 years. They are currently not done with it but I'm hoping by the end of this week we can "move in." I was able to tackle most of the living room and the loft last week and since then been doing small organizing projects and shopping since my hips and lower back like to take turns stabbing me with pain. Fun stuff. But one of these days we'll be organized!!!
