24 weeks/6 months
Tehya is doing good. The amniotic fluid is normal and she's making her Mama fat and awkward. Chris and I have also seen her kick so much it makes my belly dance. I can now definitely feel her kicking when I walk. Bending over and getting up is making me sound like my dad and/or like that witch from Dark Crystal. I can often distinguish where the womb is in my belly, especially during a braxton hicks or when it firms up out of nowhere, which I classified as braxton hicks. I do believe I'm having a harder time sleeping these days, or at least staying asleep from uncomfortable moments, though the only stuff that really bothers me is my lower back (big surprise) and my right knee which has become stiff now and again.
Now as for these t-shirts below...while I was shopping for things for Halloween costumes I realized that there are some pregnancy shirts I'm outgrowing and I wanted new ones but not spending a whole lot, and came across these make-your-own shirts at Walmart and found out they fit and probably will fit for a while. I got some shirts for a low prize and some fabric paint and looked up funny pregnancy shirts online.
This is what I have so far:
Light pink shirt
"Yes. I'm Preggo. It's A Girl. I'm Due In January."
I've worn this already and women have asked me if I get asked a lot, or I'm tired of being asked, but smile at the words nonetheless.
Made this the other night and haven't worn it.
I still have a purple and orange shirt to decorate.
Oh and the only "craving" I've really had was Matta's Mexican Pizza. I've had it twice within the past month or so and to save ourselves money, gas, and time, I decided to learn to make it.
Used:
tortilla
ground turkey (although Matta's uses beef)
onion
tomato
shredded cheese blend (not sure what Matta's uses)
green chili
Spices: cumin and chili powder
I'd give measurements if I had them. But I cooked 1lb of ground turkey, diced onion, chili powder, and cumin. After eating a Matta's pizza recently I found out that it smells strongly of cumin so I added cumin in addition to what the chili powder already offered. After the meat was cooked through and smelled good, the cumin not too overpowering, I turned off the burner and set it aside. I cut up a tomato (took off the seeds), heated up our toaster oven to 425 F on bake, mixed the diced tomatoes in with the beef mixture, put the tortilla on a flat cooking sheet, put on the beef mix, added the cheese, put it in the toaster oven and waited till the cheese melted and the tortilla was crispy on the edges!
I don't know if it's perfectly close to Matta's but I'd say I got close.
