Yes, the "buns" are actually Krispy Kreme donuts. We were watching the Travel Channel the other night and we came across this unique idea. A ball park somewhere within the US cqame up with it. Last night Chris bought Krispy Kreme Donuts and we already had bacon, cheese and the hamburgers. If you're wondering if the inside of the donuts are on the outside it's because they wanted to keep the glaze inside the burger and not on a person's hands.
I thought it was pretty good- taste wise. Calories are probably very high so if you're watching that I don't recommend eating it. However, if you're willing do try something new then I recommend you try. BUT I warn you to get ORIGINAL BACON not Maple flavored bacon. That's what we did and I think they may have been too sweet.

That is just... so wrong.
Hmm. I like sweet and salty together, but never would have thought of this. Maybe we should try fudgescicle hot dogs next.
It kinda makes me sick just thinking about it...but I've been craving Krispy Kremes donuts ever since you told me about this concoction, yesterday. Way to be adventurous with food :)
