About every day on Facebook I've put in my status what I'm thankful for that day. Here are the things I've written so far:
Day 1: I am thankful every day to see my kids and my husband, and feeling Tehya kick.
Day 2: I'm so thankful for music. I love the ability to sing even if it's not perfect, to feel the rhythm of a beat, and the emotions that can flow through a song.
Day 3: I'm thankful for the women I know. Their ability to inspire, create, help, and love. I know some awesome women!
Day 4: I'm thankful for any opportunity to sleep. Enough said. ;)
Day 5: I'm thankful for those nice people at the cash registers in stores; even if they've had a bad day, somehow they're able to smile at you.
Day 6: I'm thankful for the chance to vote.
Day 7: I'm thankful to be able to pray freely.
Day 8: I'm thankful for my kids. They frustrate me but I wouldn't give them up to save my life. I love me kiddies!!!!
Day 9: I'm thankful for blankets to cuddle in whether I'm tired, need warmth, or just to snuggle in.
Day 10: I'm thankful for humor. Life is so much easier and fun with it. Especially when you realize God has it too.
Day 11: I'm thankful for medicine, so I can breathe through my nose.
Day 12: Thankful for people like my Grandpa and brother and friends who are willing to serve in the military and sacrafice everything for this country.
Day 13: I'm so thankful for my husband. I love how he is understanding, caring, geeky, smart, loving, and everything I need. Even when I sometimes wonder why I married him (har, har) he always ends up doing something that reminds me that- yes, he is my only.
Day 14: I'm thankful for extended family and their willingness to help us with our kids, house, and whatever else.
Day 15: I'm thankful for old friends that I used to hang out with. No matter how little or a lot I saw them they definitely had an impact on my life.
Day 16: Thankful for entertainment, and appreciative of those who can act in movies to bring stories to life. Thank you for the fun!
Day 17: I'm thankful for the beauty God shows us. Whether it's the intricate designs of pink 'n gold sunsets or fiery rippling embers.
Day 18: I'm thankful for the encouragement of our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to build up a year supply of food for any situation that may come at us.
Day 19: I'm thankful for the ladies in the Church, their understanding and patience and love goes beyond thanks.
Day 20: I'm thankful for the internet so I can connect with friends- old and new, learn new things I hadn't before and for great deals on things like a crib and dresser- which I got tonight thanks to a lady from Church. :D
There are some obvious reasons why I felt thankful for these things like day 5 when I went shopping, day 6 was Election day, the 12th was Veteran's Day, the 16th was when we saw Breaking Dawn, the 17th was when we used our fire pit, or today getting a nice dresser and crib for a very low price. Blessings are everywhere and I wish I saw them more often than not.
