I finally did the last 2 plain shirts that I bought done. The last 2 that's I've done were pretty much from seeing them online. These 2 I thought up by myself. What do you think?
This shirt was inspired by both my sister and the few people that have thought I am huge enough to be carrying twins. My sister sent me a text awhile back saying I needed a shirt like this so...there ya go.
And apparently I'm not the only mother experiencing such judgement either. A friend of mine, from school and church whom I hadn't seen since she'd been married a few years ago, was at the same play area that my sister and I usually go this past Thursday. As I said 'hi' to her she looks at my shirt and says 'I love your shirt', and continues to tell me that she's had people ask her if she's having more than one when she was pregnant too. Telling me that one time when she went to a bank, the lady at the desk asked if she was carrying twins. My friend said no and the teller looked at her shocked and said, "Really? You are way too big to be carrying just one!" Thankfully an older gentleman was overhearing this rude statement and said to the teller, "How many are you having?" The teller looks at him and says, "None. I'm not pregnant." And the old man replies in mock astonishment, "Really? Cuz you're way to big to be having none!" My friend could've kissed that man that day and honestly I could too had I been in that situation.
And just for fun, I made this one up. I haven't had too many touching my belly, in fact I don't remember people outside my family doing so, and honestly those within the family I don't mind too much, but having a shirt like this can make a person laugh and I like to make a person at least smile.
As for the pregnancy itself, or Tehya herself, no big changes in our lives except maybe her kicking a lot and I kind of fear that she'll be like Nayeli and kick or stretch so much I'll want her out before her cool due date 1/13/13. If I can't have an abstract holiday might as well try for a cool due date right?
