No this isn't what you think. This is more of a future thing for me than anything else I promise.
I recently finished reading the 5th book in the series- "The Immortals" by Alyson Noel. In that last book there was a funeral for an old woman character who lived a good life. To honor her, her friends, family, and colleagues dressed in variations of purple because she believed black was too depressing.
So I was thinking after I read that that'd I'd like the same concept only with yellow, or orange, or perhaps teal. Because although the thought of losing someone is depressing, I wouldn't want my family to mourn for me. I'd like them to miss me, sure, but not to feel loss.
After posting this same info on Facebook a friend pointed out they did the same but instead of one color they wore the brightest thing they had, and I think I'd like that too.
As for open or closed casket- I'd prefer closed, no point bringing up my deadness when I would look much better alive in movies and pictures.
I would want tons of jokes, quotes from movies and my favorite books. Not to mention fun/funny songs.
No I'm not dying anytime soon, Heaven forbid, cuz I still have tons to do and learn first. But I just wanted to throw that out there as a Thinker, cuz you know I love to think, despite how bad I am at it. LOL Love you all!

I have been writing my own funeral arrangements as well, just so everyone knows how I'd like to go. Seeing this makes me want to publish mine as well.
I had had similar thoughts. Somethink like pinning red and white polka dots on people...I want lots of pics and movies (didn't think of that one...thanks Jess!) of the good times too.
While we all know we will live in Heaven together again...there really would be oodles of tears because we would miss you fiercely! And we want to keep you here...well, forever!
Love ya!
