Today's quotes are from the movie "The Holiday." I like this movie, for the very fact that I could relate to it sometimes and also because they're fun romances. I have this quote because the girls just love to tell how they met their husbands'. So after you read this, it'd be awesome to know your "meet-cute" with your one-and-only.
Arthur: Well this was some "meet-cute."
Iris: Sorry?
Arthur: It's how two characters meet in a movie. Say a man and a woman both need something to sleep in. And they both go to the same men's pajama department."
Iris: Right.
Arthur: And the man says to the salesman, "I just need bottoms." The woman says, "I just need a top." They look at each other, and that's the "meet-cute."
For Christopher and I, we first met at the Red Mountain Institute building I think late 2004. Chris said it was brief, and I don't remember the actual first time we met. LOL How sad, huh? Now it's your turn. I wanna know.

Well, you remember when Ammon and I met since he was your date. Do I remember conversations? No. Do I remember fun? Yep.
I first met Eric at a Young Single Adult (YSA) activity for church. It was a barbecue at someone's house, but we all met at the church and got rides over. Eric was coordinating the activity. When I first saw him, he was leaning on his green Chevy S-10 pickup with a Tigger antennae thing and a smiley face license plate. He was talking on his cell phone. I thought he was totally full of himself and vowed to stay away from him if I could help it.
Later at the activity, one of the adult leaders introduced me to Eric as the new Ironwood Ward rep. Eric wouldn't leave me alone after that! It was like he was determined to make sure I felt welcome. By the end of the evening, I was very impressed with him ... and had long forgotten my first impression.
