Kid Updates

Tummy Rumbler
I figured that even though it's close to when we find out what gender Tummy Rumbler would be, tomorrow being week 19/4.75 months along, I could give a tiny update.
I have been eating more, I would say better if that I ate like veggies with every meal or something like that but I'm not so I'll say "more". I haven't thrown up in weeks so YAY! I have been able to drink milk, thoroughly enjoying cereal every morning and the occasional Ovaltine chocolate milk *sigh*. I have been able to even figure out some kind of schedule with my hungers so I don't feel blah, though this past week while shopping I had the shakes so bad but thanks to a good bag of Cheetos I was able to stop them and continue with my day out with Ellie.
I have officially been asked if I'm having twins by one of Christian's bus drivers. I knew it was gonna happen one day when I was pregnant, and there you go. Ugh, some people. I could understand if the person that asked me was young, like 20 or younger, but this woman looks older than me. Just because I am only half way through my pregnancy and show more than others doesn't mean I'm having twins. I heard a comment the other day that I think applies to common sense- too bad there isn't much common sense anymore. How sadly true is that?!

Anyway enough of my silly random rant-

Christian
He is officially a Kindergartener, been going to school for a week and a half, and the transition has been interesting. For both Christian, Ellie and I. I'll explain later about Ellie. I like that Christian has an all day school day, it makes me feel like I can do more. As for Christian I think he's doing well in school, we get daily progress on his day. He has been doing good for the most part but sometimes has a hard time listening, following directions, and saying kind words. I hope that this is a phase as he gets used to the new routine like my brother-in-law suggested.
We have talked to Christian about the baby and I think this time he's getting the idea that a new addition will be here soon and is okay with it. With Ellie it wasn't that great since he was so young. He has asked to see the progress of the baby in pictures provided by the babycenter app on my kindle fire and talks about getting a baby brother.

Nayeli
Now Ellie, with Christian gone, she gets bored quite quickly and makes me wonder about possibilities for her during this time before her own schooling starts next year. Ah bugger, I'm tearing up already thinking about it. But she hasn't cried when Christian has left so I can't say that she's too upset about it. Ha! I think she likes spending quality time with me since she likes to cuddle up close and play around me since her brother is gone.
We have also let Ellie see the picks and told her there is a baby in my tummy. She also seems excited about a new addition. We'll see how long that lasts when the baby is crying constantly. Hahaha!

Tummy Rumbler: Glad you're able to eat a little more normally without the sickies. That's so miserable ... especially when it's so hot and muggy out! Don't worry about insensitive comments. I've actually found it's the older generation that tends to think you're going to have twins (or pregnant when you're not), because of your size. Maybe kids are just bigger nowadays? Anyway, just remember that pregnant women all have a special countenance that makes them beautiful, and it's not different if it's your first or your fifteenth.

Christian: EVERY kindergartener has trouble adjusting to listening, following directions, and being nice to their schoolmates. So congratulations ... your son is normal! He'll be working things out probably the whole year. It's a big adjustment that just gets easier the longer they're in school. Just be sure he has (and keeps) a good overall attitude about school in general and he'll do fine.

Ellie: You and Eric really need to get our girls together and let them play. Mia's really been missing a playmate and it sounds like Ellie needs one too. Plus, I'm sure there are things you'd both like to get done without kids around, so take turns hosting princess playdates. I'm sure both girls will love it.

Thanks for the update on your fam. I feel like I haven't seen anyone in so long!

Thank you Llama! I know it's usually the older people that think we're having twins when we aren't, although this woman looks to be in her thirties. But whatever I had my rant and I'm over it. :)
This week Christian is doing better and getting all smiles for the past two days! Although when he comes home he's back to harassing Ellie but what older brother wouldn't right? :) Now Chris and I are planning to put Christian and probably Ellie in Karate soon...we'll see how that goes.
I do plan to do more playdates for Mia and Ellie, half the time I forget Eric is home these days! Sorry Eric! This week has kinda been a blah week and trying to get energy to clean this house! Oy! But I'll get there! :) More play dates will come I promise!
And I'm sorry I don't update the blog that much, just harder to blog than to update a facebook status. But I realize more these days that you don't have one so I have done most of my blogging for you than anyone, cuz I love ya!!!
