First, I'd like to mention that this is my 300th post on our blog. :)
Anyway, today's quote is from the book I've recently read, The Hunger Games. Chris listens to talk radio a lot and I can't help but think that the government could end up the same way as the Capitol in this book. Cruel, unforgiving and manipulative. However, there is always hope in people and God. I chose this quote because it has so many meanings in few sentences.
"'...I can't go down without a fight. Only I keep wishing I could think of a way to...to show the Capitol they don't own me. That I'm more than just a piece in their Games,' says Peeta."
We aren't just pieces for the government to mess with. We are people who have feelings and thoughts of our own despite what they think.
I know it's deep for Easter but I wanted to share that.

I don't know if it's too DEEP for Easter, but definitely very political for Easter. Oh well. Interesting thought.
