Facebook-
A place to connect with old friends, new friends, and perhaps, meet friends. A place to find out about people, maybe even places and things. A place to put your thoughts out on your own site.
And maybe where a certain person can practice her writing skills.
:-D
Since Tuesday or so I thought of giving descriptions of my day to help me write. And I don't mean the normal Facebook statuses:
I've got a migraine.
What a beautiful day.
Anybody up for hanging out with me today?
I'm talking about using actual adjectives with personifications and so forth. So far I've written:
Tuesday Morning
The battle is rough. All I have is vitamin C arrows and a bow of sleep. I haven't been able to avade all attacks but the wounds haven't been to deep. Only time will tell if I can overcome this battle of The Cold.
Tuesday Night
The night fell onto the city like a blanket. The heat of the day still seethed from the rocks as the stars glittered in the dark sky.
Wednesday Afternoon
The rambunctious wind fidgeted with the thick spring leaves of the trees and bushes in our front yard while the cotton white clouds dispersed slowly to reveal the evening sun.
Wednesday Night
Night drifted into the house on silent wings and wrapped the sleeping children into slumber. Even the most annoying dog has shut his muzzle on this cloud covered night.
And This Afternoon
Soft clouds drifted high above the earth casting translucent shadows on the yellow and green field of grass. A large murky pond filled with quacking ducks lay beyond the field. And children of all ages played in the sand filling the air with their screams of laughter.
Just something for fun. Plus I have a friend who wants to make a little game of it- which I'm totally up to doing! :)
