I Was Dedicated!

Known fact that Chrispy and I love to play volleyball together. We have even started to go play volleyball once a month. Yesterday Chris and I had that opportunity. YAY! Only problem was only one other couple came to play. But against the even (4 people make it even not odd, so hence "against the even") we were able to play v-ball with a little group who were awaiting the rest of their party. During that time it was humid with the thick moisture in the air. It reminded me of being in Wisconsin. If it had been thicker we would be inhaling water instead of air. But anyway...I wasn't doing too bad with keeping the ball in-court when I had to/could hit the ball. Chris, of course, was diving and practically throwing his body around to save the ball, collecting a bunch of sand as he hit the ground. I'm not fond of diving, so at one point, when I had to get the ball, the ball was currently out of arms length. And my next train of thought got me this:

See my darkened left toe? Yeah, I kicked the ball with my foot and ironically saved the ball and helped win a point for our team. It was actually a blood blister that popped when I clipped my toenails this morning. Foregive the grossness, I'm just explaining. And please forgive the nasty way my toes look cuz at that point I had not washed my feet of sand. After a little soaking with epsom salt my toe isn't half as sensitive as early this morning.
Another injury I noticed after volleyball (above). I'm not sure how I got this but it too has started to fade. And this morning I discovered what may be from volleyball is a muscle bruise on my right wrist. Normally I'm not this beat up after a night of games but I had to tell ya, cuz last night was fun and I didn't want to shun the fun any by forgetting to tell about my well-earned injuries. :) ISN'T IT AWESOME!!! LOL
